Event & Pop-Up Host

Job Purpose Summary: This role is both a key member of the Events & Pop-Up team and a contributor to the Tennyson store team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience for both. This customer facing role will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests to either the store or Pop-Up event and making them comfortable upon arrival, whether that is offering them refreshments, or guiding them to the products they are most interested in.

Additionally, this role will support the Event Coordinator in the coordination and execution of events and Pop-Ups, being the “boots on the ground” for Pop-Ups around the country. This person may also be asked to attend and support additional events such as Sip & Shops and other local events.

Reports To: Operations Manager directly, Tennyson Store Manager & Events Coordinator indirectly

Location: Denver Metro Area

Type: Full Time position

Pay Range: $23/hr - $25/hr (Depending on Experience) plus benefits

Hours: Weekend & Holiday Availability required (Approximately: 20 hrs/week on Pop-Ups or other events & 20 hrs/week in store)

Expected Travel: Must be willing to travel approx 5 days/mo, primarily on weekends

Provides an Exceptional Customer Experience

Tennyson Store

  • Provide guests with a luxury experience at the moment of entering Sarah O., making them feel valued and comfortable.

  • Guides clients through the Sarah O. showroom and educates them on the product and the company.

  • Ensures the sales and design teams stay on schedule by providing courteous, professional reminders about upcoming appointments and when current appointments are nearing their end.

  • Professionally address guest inquiries, special requests, or concerns, escalating issues as needed.

  • Solution-oriented when met with challenges and remains calm while providing luxury customer experience.

Pop-Ups / Events:

  • Manage appointment communication, updates and reminders via text.

  • Ensure the Pop-Up appointments stay on schedule by providing courteous, professional reminders when appointments are nearing their end.

  • Arrange lobby seating for early arrivals if the Pop-Up Jewelry Specialist is unavailable.

  • Professionally address guest inquiries, special requests, or concerns, escalating issues as needed.

Event Planning Support

  • Assist in coordination and execution of the look and feel of Sarah O. events and Pop-Ups.

  • Assist in preparation of items needed for a successful event including products, props, cases, jewelry stands, etc.

  • Debriefs with the Pop-Up team after events to share feedback and determine action items for continuous improvement.

  • Assists the Event Coordinator with event preparation including Sip & Shops and Pop-Up events.

Event Execution

  • Be aware of overall project timelines related to events and communicate effectively with all involved parties regarding their deadlines as directed by the Event Coordinator.

  • Ensure events are executed according to the agreed upon vision, asking for clarification from the Event Coordinator when needed.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for the Pop-Up travel team.

  • Attends all Pop-Up and external events.

  • Maintain the event room’s cleanliness and readiness at all times.

  • Coordinate team lunches ensuring timely delivery.

  • Assist with event closing procedures, including packing up, disposing of trash, and securing the meeting room for the night.

  • Willing to run the necessary errands related to the above responsibilities.

  • Trained and well-versed in permanent jewelry to assist with local permanent jewelry events.

Accept other responsibilities as assigned. This list is not exhaustive, nor all inclusive. Duties may be added, changed, or delegated to others over time.

  • 1+ year in an event coordinator or customer service role.

  • Willing to travel frequently for business related events.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with others.

  • Able to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude.

  • Self-starter, proactively seeks out projects and continuously researches for new opportunities.

  • Must have a personal vehicle for business purposes (mileage will be reimbursed).

  • Able to create a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.

  • Works a regular schedule with requests conducive with the business of the season, and fair to business expectations / willing to work outside of normal business hours or days when the need arises (ie: if an event or activation is taking place).

  • Active drivers license and comfortable driving a rental vehicle between Pop-Up cities.

  • Able to lift objects weighing approximately 25-50 pounds (occasionally)

Sales Associate

Job Purpose Summary: At Sarah O., every team member plays a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience, meeting company goals through expert product knowledge, personal engagement, and luxury service. In addition, you will assist with daily administrative tasks that support the sales function and overall team success.

Reports To: Store Manager

Salary: $20-$23 (Depending on Experience) plus benefits

Benefits: Medical insurance, 401k match, paid time off, possible monthly bonuses based on sales goals.

  • Provide a world-class customer experience by greeting customers, building rapport, identifying their jewelry needs, and guiding them through a seamless purchase process.

  • Continuously expand knowledge of fine jewelry, the Sarah O. brand, and internal processes to better serve our customers.

  • Keep customers informed about relevant products, events, promotions, policies, and services.

  • Maintain an organized and clean showroom and stockroom, assisting with event preparations, seasonal transitions, and new marketing campaigns.

  • Ensure the showroom’s case displays are well-maintained by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day, and communicate inventory levels to Sales Leadership.

  • Assist with customer orders and repairs, respond to customer inquiries, and manage phone and email communication, as well as preparing order shipments.

  • Consistently follow internal processes and procedures with accuracy.

  • Foster positive working relationships across the company.

  • Assist with Sales Team projects as needed.

  • Take on other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience (luxury or fine jewelry experience preferred).

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

  • Ability to remain flexible and quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
